Heart Evangelista dishes out the goodies at Yoshinoya SM North EDSA opening
What's better than getting yummy meals at Yoshinoya? Having your meal served by no less than Heart Evangelista!
The pretty teen star lent a hand to the crew of Yoshinoya in serving the hundreds of people who flocked to the grand opening of the restaurant's new branch at the second level of SM City North EDSA. Hungry customers and eager fans queued up at the counter to catch a glimpse of Heart, and have their orders taken by the popular actress.
Just as popular are Yoshinoya's delicious beef, chicken and pork bowls. After all, Yoshinoya is known the world over for serving the most delicious gyudon, a bowlful of steaming rice with a generous topping of thinly sliced beef marinated in a savory blend of herbs and spices. The famous beef bowl uses a century-old secret recipe, unchanged since Yoshinoya first opened in the Nihombashi Fish Market in Tokyo in 1899.
Also gracing the opening were top executives, Managing Director & General Manager of the International Division, Takashi Abe, and Franchising manager, Shigeo Kurokawa from Yoshinoya D&C Co. Ltd. Japan who flew to Manila specially for the event. Mitsui & Co's Hideyuki Murakami and Y. Fujimura were also there to congratulate the Yoshinoya Century Pacific, Inc., the local franchise holder of Yoshinoya.
Aside from the rice bowls, Yoshinoya's numerous culinary delights also include ebi fry and tasty side dishes like crabstick and mushroom shu mai, oriental tuna and macaroni salad and their delicious miso soup. Great desserts such as coffee jelly and fruit cocktail are also offered. And what better way to complete a satisfying meal than with Yoshinoya's special green iced tea.
Yoshinoya is already a household name in other parts of the globe. The restaurant's popularity has reached as far as the United States, where there are close to a hundred Yoshinoya outlets. In Asia, Yoshinoya's tasty offerings are enjoyed in Taiwan, China (including Hongkong), and Singapore.
The popularity of Yoshinoya can always be credited to the restaurant's commitment to serve the best rice bowls, using only the choicest ingredients. From the tender and high-quality meats, fresh vegetables, special spices, down to the finest rice grains, and a secret recipe that goes back more than a hundred years, one is sure that their rice bowls is distinctly Yoshinoya.
The restaurant also combines traditional Japanese cuisine with American fast-food efficiency, promising excellent-tasting meals that are cooked to order served quickly and efficiently in a very friendly atmosphere.
The oldest and most popular gyudon (beef bowl) restaurant chain in Japan, Yoshinoya is now serving great Japanese meals in six branches across Metro Manila. Apart from the SM City North EDSA branch, Filipinos can also taste the Yoshinoya goodness at Robinson's Galleria, SM Southmall, SM Megamall and Park Square I in Makati.
